Overview

Why does the SmartShaker 2 disconnect from my smartphone?

Five minutes after you have setup the SmartShaker 2 it will disconnect from our phone or tablet to save power. The shaker will not need to be connected again until changes to the app have been made or you want to know the status of the battery.To reconnect the shaker, open the SmartShaker+ app then press and hold the snooze button on the shaker for about 3 seconds. The shaker will vibrate then sync to the app.

 

I can not change the vibration level of my SmartShaker 2. Why?

During the setup you may have selected the incorrect shaker model. Please follow these steps. 

IOS App

Please select the Settings icon => select "My devices" => select "Edit" => then delete the shaker by selecting "-" then "Delete" => select "Done" =>select "Add new devise" => select "SmartShaker 2" => switch on the shaker then press and hold the snooze button until the unit vibrates => select the SmartShaker 2 to from the list of devices, "Setting" then "Done"

Alarm Setting

- Select the "Add New Alarm".
- Change the alarm time by moving the hours, minutes and am/pm up or down.
- ALL DAYS are automatically set to alarm. Select "Repeat" then choose the days you want the alarm to be active.
- Select "Sound". Choose your alarm vibration and sound options
- Tap the "Use vibration" switch to turn on/off the vibration. When set to on select the normal, strong or strongest vibration options.
- Use the ">" to change the alarm sound. 
- Adjust the alarm volume by sliding the dot left (down) or right (up).
- Select "Edit Alarm" then "Done" to save your alarm settings.
- If your SmartShaker 2 is not connected select "Save" then follow the reconnect instructions to update the new alarm settings.

Android App

Please select the Settings icon => select "My devices" then delete the shaker => select "Close" =>select "My Devices" then "Add" => select "SmartShaker 2" => switch on the shaker then press and hold the snooze button until the unit vibrates => select "Add" , "Close" then "Done"

Alarm Setting

- Select the "Add New Alarm".
- Tap on the alarm time to open the alarm settings.
- Change the alarm time by moving the hours, minutes and am/pm up or down.
- To turn off/on or charge the vibration or sound options tap on the word. The vibration or sound will not be highlighted when set to off.
- Tap the vibration button to change the vibration strength. There are 4 setting, off (grey), vibration 1, vibration 2 and vibration 3. Vibration 3 is the strongest setting. 
- Use the < or > to change the alarm sound.
- Adjust the alarm volume by sliding the blue dot left (down) or right (up).
- ALL DAYS are automatically set to alarm. Select the days you DO NOT want the alarm activated.
- Select "Done" to save your alarm settings.
- If your SmartShaker 2 is not connected select "Save" then follow the reconnect instructions to update the new alarm settings.

 

How can I see the battery strength?

Make sure the shaker is powered on. Open the SmartShaker+ app then press and hold the snooze button on the shaker for about 3 seconds. The shaker will vibrate then sync to the app. The battery strength will be displayed at the bottom of the screen under the shaker icon.

 

When do I need to charge the SmartShaker 2?

If the red light on the SmartShaker 2 is flashing, it's time to charge it.

 

Is it okay to leave the shaker plugged in all the time?

We do not suggest leaving the unit pulled in. This will lessen the life of the battery. Also, if you are using this under your pillow the USB port may get damaged. 

 

How does the LED show the status of the SmartShaker 2?

LED Indication - Status

Green color LED fast blinking - Bluetooth Searching/Smartphone out of range
Green color LED slow blinking /During Syncing - Connected/Sync (LED turns off after syncing is finished)
Green color LED fast blinking - Alarm sounding
Red color LED blinking - Battery low
Red LED solid - Charging
Green LED solid - Fully charged

 

What will happen if my smartphone is out of range or powered off?

SmartShaker 2 will work independently so even if your smartphone is out of range or powered off, the SmartShaker 2 will still vibrate/sound on the set alarm times. The Rainbow 7 will also follow its saved schedules however, since the app controls the flashing of the Rainbow 7 during an alarm, this feature will not function.

 

Can I use any USB port to charge my SmartShaker 2?

Yes. The SmartShaker 2 uses a micro USB to USB (type A) charging cable. It will connect and charge using any (type A) USB charger or charging port such as on your PC.

 

The snooze can be set from 1 to 29 minutes. 
- Select the SmartShaker icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Select "Snooze".
- Slide the snooze time up or down then press done/set.
- Select "<" in the upper left corner to exit the shaker settings.

 

How do I select my music to play as the alarm sound?

1. Tap the menu icon in the upper right corner
2. Select “Wake-up settings”
3. Select “Music” under “WAKE UP MUSIC”
4. Select “Music”, “OK”, and “Allow” (first time only)
5. Select to song you want to wake up to. It will begin playing.
6. Select “Done”
7. Adjust the music volume by sliding the dot left (down) or right (up).
8. Select “Settings”, “Settings”, then “Done”
9. Tap the music icon in the alarm time circle to wake up to music. The music icon will be highlighted when the music option is on and will be grayed out the when music option is off.

 

Can I use my iPad for the SmartShaker Plus app?

Yes. While the current app is designed for an iPhone, you can still use it from your iPad.
From the App store, please change ‘iPad only’ to ‘iPhone only’ to search for our SmartShaker app.
We are in the process of developing an iPad design.

 

Slide the alarm time to the left. A delete tab will appear, just select it.

 

Do I have to have a smartphone to use this? Can I use my PC?

The SmartShaker+ app is compatible with iOS and Android smartphones and tablets only.

 

The SmartShaker 2 does not offer this feature. We are looking into integrating more features in a later version.
