How do I replace the batteries without losing my alarm settings?
If the old batteries are dead, your setting will be lost when replacing the backup batteries. We suggest replacing them once a year or as soon as the low battery indicator is displayed. - Remove the power cord.
- Locate the backup battery compartment on the bottom of the unit and open it with a Philips screwdriver then remove the cover. - Plug the power cord in - Remove old batteries and insert 2 new "AAA" batteries. - Unplug the power cord.
- Replace the cover. Do Not over tighten the screw. - Plug the power cord in. - Check to confirm your setting are still saved. -
Is the display dimmable ?
Yes. There are multiple dimmer settings.

Can you sync the vibrator with your phone to use as a traveling alarm with the base unit ?
This shaker will only connect to the base unit. We do make a portable shaker, the SmartShaker 2. See link.

I am overseas and broke my AC adapter. What are the DC output requirements.
The DC output required is 5.0V, 2.1A.

Why can't I set my alarm time?
Please check your Alarm On/Off setting. The alarm time can only be set when alarm 1 or alarm 2 is selected. The alarm time can not be changed when the alarm is off or both alarms are selected.

If I do not turn off the alarm, how long will the shaker vibrate?
The alarm will turn off in one hour.

Is this dual voltage?
Yes. It is 100-240V, 50-60Hz.

Can I place this in my pajama pocket?
If your pocket has some way to keep the shaker secure, sure.

Hey! The alarm was set for sound and vibration but the shaker did not vibrate. Did I miss something?
Please make sure the vibration strength is not set to off.

I have 2 alarms set. How do I charge one of them?
Move the Alarm On/Off switch to alarm 1 or 2. Press and hold the alarm button until the alarm flashes on the display. Use the + or - to change the time. Return the Alarm On/Off switch to alarm 1 and 2.

I pressed the alarm button but the alarm time did not show. Why?
The alarm time can not be changed if the alarm is off or both alarms are active. Please move the Alarm On/Off switch to alarm 1 or 2.
